21 Oct Restart a Heart
Ulidia pupils took part in the nationwide ‘Restart a Heart’ day, organised by the British Heart Foundation.
26 pupils from year 11 and year 12 learned how to do CPR and how to use a defibrillator.
This initiative aims at training young people to provide CPR efficiently, to increase the number of survivors of out-of-hospital cardiac arrest. Without CPR, the chances of surviving a cardiac arrest are zero. Cardiac arrest can happen to anyone, anywhere, and it is reassuring to know that so many young people know what to do and where to get help.
We would like to thank the six nurses who came yesterday to teach our students how to save lives.
