12 Aug Outstanding results maintained at both GCSE and A level for Ulidia Integrated College
Ulidia Integrated College has recorded excellent GCSE Results for 2021 with 83.81% of pupils achieving 5 or more A*-C grades and 68% of pupils gaining 5 or more A*-C grades including English and Maths.
At GCSE, grades were excellent across the board, with A*-C in: English lit at 98%, English Language at 87%, Single Award Science at 92%, Double award Science at 98%, Maths 70%, Travel and Tourism 89%, IT Applications 88%, and 100% in Patisserie and Baking, and Music.
A level and post 16 was also an outstanding success, recording 98% 3 A*-E grades, and 71.74% 3 A*-C grades.
Mr Houston said, “We are so impressed by all of our pupils – this has been another disrupted year for pupils all round, having to cope with lockdown, then restrictions and then worry about how their grades might be awarded. It is such a relief to be able to celebrate with them and discover where their pathways may lead. I expect record numbers returning to sixth form to study, and there will be particular interest in the new A Level Chemistry course.
We of course also welcome applications from external students for A level study.
I am thrilled for our parents and pupils alike, and very grateful for the hard work and dedication all of our staff have shown. Our teaching staff have been exceptional throughout lockdown in their dedication and professionalism, and no small amount of sleepless nights and worry went into producing this year’s grades. I know we can stand over these grades with integrity, and am looking forward to hearing about the pathways that our young people follow into 6th form and University.”
