17 Dec Grassroots Challenge
Over the past four years students at Ulidia Integrated College have taken on the Grassroots challenges as their expedition aim while completing their Silver Duke of Edinburgh Award.
This year the expeditions did not go ahead due to COVID restrictions but that did not stop our dedicated students for continuing to take part in conservation projects from a social distance.
Many students adapted their Duke of Edinburgh Award programme to include conservation as their volunteering project and completed work to enhance local communities and local environment to complete this section.
Ulidia Integrated College students and staff were presented with two awards at the recent Grassroots Challenge annual celebration event which this year was held online. Students were presented with an award for their continued commitment to the programme this year.
