13 Jun Ulidia Integrated College Golf Open
Monday 9th June saw the culmination of seven weeks of golf outings and the crowning of the Ulidia Golf Open winner for 2014. The club was attended by seven pupils including a number of new faces. As always it was a pleasure for Mr. Dunlop, Mr Gilmour and myself to be involved in this club.
On the day we had our traditional Ryder Cup themed day and the final counting round. Mark Hill (Year 12) emerged as the eventual winner, Daniel Leeming (Year 12) was second and Danny Magill (Year 13) was third. In addition Mark Hill won nearest to the pin on the second hole, hitting his ball within 6 foot. Daniel Leeming got the longest drive on the 17th hole.
It would be great to continue to develop the club next year and I would encourage any pupils that are interested in taking part in the club to practise over the summer and work towards getting a GUI handicap if they do not have one.
Yours in Sport,
Mr Spratt
