28 Feb Ulidia U18 Volleyball Success
After finishing 2nd in the Northern Ireland schools Volleyball League the U18 boys had a tough draw in the quarter final playoffs against SRC Armagh. The Armagh team were made up of a number of players from the Northern Ireland squad and are always renowned for producing strong teams due to their links with local volleyball clubs in the area.
Despite the wealth of experience in the Armagh team the Ulidia Boys played outstanding and closed out the game in two straight sets. (25-19 & 25-18)
All the boys played out of their skin and fought to retrieve any stray balls to keep them in play. It is fair to say that there was a great atmosphere during the match with many pupils and teachers able to watch a great spectacle of volleyball over their lunch. Hopefully the team can replicate their great performance in the semi-final stage. Good Luck fella’s!
